Este ano a Semana Nacional da Pessoa com Deficiência aconteceu entre os dias 27 e 31 de agosto. Para reforçar a importância de ações que tragam à tona a discussão sobre este público, o Shopping do Vale de Cachoeirinha, em parceria com a Arcoplex, resolveu fazer a diferença. Além de sediar exposição sobre algumas das atividades desenvolvidas pelas entidades que atendem pessoas com deficiência, ofereceu uma sessão de cinema inclusiva. Mais do que um espaço de consumo, o Shopping quer reforçar sua identidade como promotor de eventos sociais que beneficiem a comunidade.
Olhos brilhantes diante da telona da sala de cinema do Shopping marcou a primeira vez de muitas crianças e adolescentes diante da experiência de contemplar a terceira arte, no dia 28 de agosto. Neste dia, pelo menos 190 delas assistiram ao filme Hotel Transilvânia 3: Férias Monstruosas que tiveram o volume e a iluminação adaptados. Mais feliz do que elas, só o superintendente do Shopping do Vale, Mario Figueiredo. “É a primeira vez que realizamos este tipo de ação. Entendemos que o espaço é da comunidade e daí o objetivo de realizar outras daqui para frente. Gratificante demais em proporcionar para eles esta alegria”, confirmou.
A presidente da Associação de Pais e Amigos de Autistas de Cachoeirinha (PaiseAmor), Cátia Medeiros também participou do evento e explicou que a entidade foi fundada há dois anos a partir da necessidade de conseguir atender crianças, adolescentes e adultos com o transtorno. Hoje já envolve mais de 100 famílias do município. A mais recente conquista foi a doação de um terreno para a construção da sede da associação pela Prefeitura. O próximo passo será a realização de ações para a sua construção. Todo serviço oferecido conta, exclusivamente, com o apoio de voluntários e de recursos oriundos de doações.
A presidente do Conselho Municipal das Pessoas com Deficiência, Renata Reis Monteiro, uma das organizadoras da Semana da Pessoa com Deficiência na cidade, reafirmou o compromisso da entidade de fiscalizar o que o município oferece com o intuito de garantir que os direitos destas pessoas sejam garantidos. Ela também garantiu que muitas ações estão sendo feitas para garantir qualidade de vida às pessoas com alguma necessidade especial.
O Shopping do Vale ainda ofereceu a Praça de Eventos para sediar a Mostra de Trabalhos das entidades que atendem pessoas com deficiência em Cachoeirinha. Dentre eles, a Apae, o Centro Municipal de Atendimentos Educacional Especializado Lampadinha (CMAEEL) e o Projeto Cais. São fotografias de momentos únicos vividos por crianças, adolescentes e adultos. Na abertura várias apresentações artísticas, que emocionaram o público participante do evento.
