A Dot. Coworking promove Curso de Libras com o objetivo de levar aos profissionais e a comunidade em geral o conhecimento desta importante ferramenta de comunicação. Aprender a linguagem dos sinais é uma forma de ajudar na inserção das pessoas surdas e pode ser uma fonte de renda, já que o tradutor de libras é uma profissão que a cada dia ganha mais mercado.
O curso inicia no dia 17 de março e pode ser feito por módulos, conforme a necessidade de cada pessoa, valendo como horas complementares e até para ingresso em curso superior. O curso será ministrado por professores filiados a Federação Nacional de Educação e Integração dos Surdos (Feneis).

O que é Libras? LIBRAS é a sigla de Língua Brasileira de Sinais. As línguas de sinais (LS) são naturais das comunidades surdas. Ao contrário do que muitos imaginam, as línguas de sinais não são simplesmente mímicas e gestos soltos, utilizados pelos surdos para facilitar a comunicação. São línguas com estruturas gramaticais próprias. Atribui-se às línguas de sinais o status de língua porque elas também são compostas pelos níveis linguísticos: fonológico, morfológico, sintático e semântico. O que diferencia as línguas de sinais das demais é a sua modalidade visual-espacial. Assim, uma pessoa que entra em contato com uma língua de sinais irá aprender uma outra língua, como o Francês, Inglês, etc.
