Viajar, conhecer novos ambientes, trocar experiências culturais e aperfeiçoar o idioma parece ser o sonho da grande maioria dos jovens. Na Escola Martinho Lutero, de Cachoeirinha, o intercâmbio já é uma realidade. A diretora Eliane Machado explica que o objetivo primordial é desenvolver as quatro habilidades linguísticas (ouvir, falar, ler e escrever) a partir da utilização das línguas estrangeiras em contexto de imersão. Ao mesmo tempo, que ampliar a visão de mundo e o universo cultural do educando, trabalhando valores não discriminatórios e de respeito à diversidade.
No mês de setembro deste ano, um grupo de estudantes da Escola Martinho Lutero permaneceu durante uma semana em terras Argentinas. Eles ficaram hospedados nas casas dos hermanos, onde vivenciaram momentos em família com muitas trocas culturais. Dentro da programação do Intercâmbio Argentina/Brasil os alunos assistiram aulas no Colégio Los Naranjos, quando participaram de várias atividades, dentre elas uma Festa Farroupilha e participaram da Jornada Internacional de Língua Portuguesa na UNER – Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos.
Em 2018, a Escola Martinho Lutero receberá os alunos do Colégio Los Naranjos, já que este é um acordo firmado entre as instituições: um ano os brasileiros vão para a Argentina e no outro os hermanos veem para o Brasil. Os preparativos para o Intercâmbio do próximo ano já estão sendo realizados e muitas expectativas e novidades despertam as curiosidades dos nossos intercambistas.
Em agosto de 2016, Patrick Pacheco Macedo (17 anos) também aluno da escola embarcou para Taiwan, na China. A oportunidade de intercâmbio é uma promoção do Rotary (Rotary Youth Exchange). Após a realização da inscrição, ele passou por um criterioso processo de seleção com outros jovens para identificar se estava apto ou não para participar da aventura. “Depois da seleção foi feita a escolha do destino. Eu estava à procura de algo que fosse totalmente diferente da minha realidade, daí a opção por Taiwan, um pequeno País asiático”, detalhou Patrick.
No começo era tudo muito diferente, desde a alimentação até o comportamento das pessoas. Aos poucos a estranheza inicial passou e virou rotina, inclusive o uso da língua estrangeira. Lá, ficou instalado na casa de três famílias rotarianas, cursou o ensino médio e fez muitas amizades. “Conheci uma cultura totalmente diferente da minha e trouxe na bagagem muitas memórias e conhecimentos, que lembrarei para o resto da vida”, ratificou.
Durante 10 meses em que permaneceu na Taiwan conheceu muitos lugares, como Kaohsiung, a praia de Kenting, as plantações de Yunlin e a ilha de Penghu, além de ter que aprender a transitar por diferentes espaços. Patrick desembarcou no Brasil em agosto deste ano com muitas histórias para contar.
Também decorrente da parceria da Escola Martinho Lutero com o Rotary Club Cachoeirinha, neste ano a escola está recebendo o intercambista Luis Federico Marmolejo, estudante da Escola Instituto Del Carmen, localizado no Estado de Campeche no México. Luis ficará um ano convivendo com os alunos do Martinho e já está bem adaptado com as rotinas educacionais e culturais.
Canadá: programa de intercâmbio permanente
Se o objetivo do estudante da Escola Martinho Lutero é vivenciar novas experiências a partir do uso prático de uma língua estrangeira e aprender com as diferenças, opções de intercâmbio não faltam. Outro destino é o Canadá, numa parceria com o Columbia International College, que conta com várias opções de projetos voltados para os adolescentes. Na lista, o Programa Verão com duração mais curta, mas não menos interessante, pois além do contato com as belezas do País, oportuniza o convívio com alunos de diferentes partes do mundo, assim como oficinas e passeios. Localizado em Hamilton, na Província de Ontário, o Columbia International College é umas das mais conceituadas escolas para estudantes de outros países no Canadá, tendo como objetivo a preparação destes para o ingresso na Universidade através de seu desenvolvimento pleno nas mais diversas áreas do conhecimento.
